DK Metcalf Caps Off Monumental Week with Engagement to Normani
DK Metcalf’s eventful week just reached new heights—culminating in an engagement announcement.
During his introductory press conference on Thursday, marking his official trade from the Seattle Seahawks to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Metcalf revealed that he is engaged to R&B star Normani.
The two-time Pro Bowler shared that he proposed in Houston while both families were in town for his sister’s spring break.
“Don’t know too many more words other than great. … Found a new home here, found a new fiancée, and everything’s just falling in line, just the way God planned for it to be,” Metcalf said.
Metcalf and Normani began dating in 2022 after being introduced by R&B singer Ciara, the wife of Metcalf’s former Seahawks teammate, Russell Wilson.
Normani rose to fame after auditioning for The X Factor in 2012 and subsequently joining Fifth Harmony, one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. Since the group disbanded in 2018, she has pursued a successful solo career.
For Metcalf, 27, the engagement follows a major milestone in his football career. Earlier in the week, he agreed to a five-year, $150 million contract extension with the Steelers, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The extension followed a high-profile trade between the Seahawks and Steelers, making waves in NFL free agency Sunday night.
With a fresh start in Pittsburgh and a new chapter in his personal life, Metcalf’s whirlwind week has been nothing short of extraordinary.
