Tracy Morgan Falls Ill Courtside at Knicks Game, Escorted Out in Wheelchair
Tracy Morgan required medical attention after falling ill during Monday night’s NBA game between the New York Knicks and Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden.
The 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live star, a regular courtside presence at Knicks games, became unwell in the third quarter, leading to a brief delay. Social media images and videos showed Morgan being assisted, with one clip capturing him being taken off the court in a wheelchair. Reports also suggested he may have been suffering from a nosebleed.
Despite the disruption, the Knicks went on to secure a 116-95 victory over the visiting Heat.
“We hope everything’s good with Tracy Morgan,” Knicks guard Josh Hart said postgame. “He’s a lifelong Knicks fan, so prayers go out to him and his health and safety.”
Morgan, 56, has faced significant health challenges in the past. In 2010, he underwent a kidney transplant, and in 2014, he survived a near-fatal car crash that left him in a coma for two weeks.
“We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside,” a Madison Square Garden representative told PEOPLE.
