The Denver Nuggets face off against the Los Angeles Lakers for the third time this season, with their season series currently tied at 1-1. This matchup comes amid a brutal stretch for Denver, marking the first game of a back-to-back and part of a grueling schedule featuring six games in just eight days.

The Lakers, also battling fatigue, are coming off a tough 126-106 road loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday. Los Angeles remains without LeBron James, who is still recovering from a groin strain.

Denver is looking to bounce back from a disappointing 115-95 home loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, one of the rare times this season they’ve been held under 100 points. However, just prior to that, the Nuggets secured a statement win against the Oklahoma City Thunder (54-12), delivering an elite offensive performance. They became the first team this season to shoot at least 60% from the field, 55% from three, and 90% from the free-throw line in a single game.

With both teams feeling the effects of a demanding schedule, this contest could come down to endurance and execution.
